Showcase puts final season Continuum online!
In a surprise move Canadian broadcaster Showcase placed the première episode of Continuum’s final season online. Continuum is of course the show that stars Rachel Nichols as the time-travelling police officer from the year 2077. She must attempt to stop terrorist from changing history. The show was co-developed by Syfy who won’t air the première until September 4th. Showcase’s move may be an attempt to make its online media channels more popular so to be more competitive with Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. Together with Continuum they have also released the première episodes of Mr. Robot and the reboot of Lost Girl. However, Mr. Robot has already aired elsewhere and so it would presumably be only of interest to Canadian viewers.
Anyone who wants to watch the première episode can go to the Showcase website and view it. Though whether you are allowed may depend on your location. If you can’t then check Google to find a way to get around this restriction. Otherwise I can only suggest you go to your favorite torrent site. If you are uncertain what Continuum is about then check out the season 4 synopsis and trailer below…
In the fourth and final season of the hit Canadian original series Continuum, Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols) and the mysterious time traveler, Brad Tonkin (Ryan Robbins) must battle the Future Soldiers who arrived in a flash of light in the last moments of season three. Meanwhile, Kiera’s alliance with the remaining members of Liber8 challenges her relationship with both Carlos (Victor Webster) and Alec (Erik Knudsen). Kiera must also face off against Kellog (Stephen Lobo), who is using every option available to him to become the ruler of a dark future built in his image. Ultimately Kiera is put to the test when the dream of potentially reuniting with her family is reignited. Showcase presents the broadcast première of Continuum’s final season on Friday, September 4 at 9pm ET/PT.
