Person of Interest – Relevance – Preview!

Person of Interest – Relevance – Preview!

As I have mentioned a few times before in the last couple of week I think Person of Interest is a bit lost (no pun intended). What I means is… the show’s mythology seems to remain even a mystery to its creative staff. After the surprise death of a number of a antagonists (Donnelly, Snow and Stanton) PoI seemed destined for a radical turnaround. And tonight’s episode Relevance seems to promise just that. The episode is the directorial début of Jonathan Nolan (brother of Christopher Nolan) and will see the introduction of a new uber villain played by Sarah Shahi. Here is the preview trailer of ‘Relevance’…...

Person of Interest ‘Booked Solid’ Review!

Person of Interest ‘Booked Solid’ Review!

The Person of Interest episodes ‘Prisoner’s Dilemma’ and ‘Dead Reckoning’ were so far the two only hard-core mythology episodes besides the season première, unfortunately at the end of the two episodes we had lost CIA agents Kara Stanton and Snow as well as FBI agent Donnelly. This drained the series of some important blood and put some story arcs in serious jeopardy. I was now looking for an episode that could reestablish the mythology for season 2 and with this episode entitled ‘Booked Solid’ I got more than I bargained for. As for the plot of ‘Booked Solid’… Reese and Finch work undercover in...

Person of Interest ‘Booked Solid’ Preview!

Person of Interest ‘Booked Solid’ Preview!

Next Thursday Person of Interest will be back with the episode ‘Booked Solid’. Now that season 2 has been in full swing for a while it is time to look back. Has Person of Interest managed to live up to expectations? For the most part that answer is YES but there are plenty of gripes to be had with its second season. For one it took a while for the shows mythology to be brought to center-stage. Instead the procedural aspects of the show was starting to affect its quality. Now that the mythology is indeed back in the forefront one can criticize the rather ad hoc nature...

Person of Interest ‘Prisoner’s Dilemma’ Review!

Person of Interest ‘Prisoner’s Dilemma’ Review!

Prisoner’s Dilemma is the 12th episode of PoI’s second season and can be considered as the episode that puts season 2 back on its track towards the finale. The plot of Prisoner’s Dilemma…. Carter is asked to question the four suspects. Finch keeps assists by creating fake information for Reese. Elias offers to help Reese but Reese refuses as the FBI knows The Man in the Suit has an affiliation with Elias. Finch bribes a suspect to tell the FBI who the man is as the FBI suspects he knows. The suspect blames the other suspect but after a suspect (Who was relieved as...

Person of Interest Season 2 – The Contingency – Preview!

Person of Interest Season 2 – The Contingency – Preview!

It almost seems like yesterday that the first season of Person of Interest stopped airing. Perhaps the fact that Person of Interest spanned 23 episodes in its first season while maintaining a very high level of quality that it seems that just a short while ago Finch was kidnapped. The first epsiode of the second season of Perosn of Interest will air next Thursday September 27th. Now, as for The Contingency, below is the press release… “The Contingency” – With Finch missing – kidnapped by his hacker nemesis, Root, in last season’s finale cliffhanger – Reese enlists Detectives Carter and Fusco...

Person of Interest ‘Firewall’ Season Finale Review!

Person of Interest ‘Firewall’ Season Finale Review!

Finally after 23 episodes has the incredible first season of Person of Interest come to a finish, next to series like Nikita and The Walking Dead there is no series like it and it certainly is the best new series of this moment. This show fantastic because just like series such as 24 and Nikita it is able to deliver high quality production along with daring plot development, the shows creators are certainly not afraid to pull some punches. Jim Caviezel’s Reese and Michael Emerson’s Finch instantly captivated audiences by their likability while their coöperation is entertaining because of their...

Person of Interest ‘Blue Code’ Preview!

Person of Interest ‘Blue Code’ Preview!

Although I have said from day one that Person of Interest makes for good TV the sci-fi elements have so far been very light. Slowly that is changing, in the last few weeks with the introduction of the character Will Ingram (who is the son of Nathan Ingram) this has changed as ‘The Machine’ is being alluded to as an AI that can interact with its surroundings. The audience is lead to believe that ‘The Machine’ has run amok and can hear almost any conversation, this was demonstrated when in a flashback the late Nathan Ingram poured a cup of coffee over his keyboard before he was to meet with...

Person of Interest ‘Root Cause’ preview!

Person of Interest ‘Root Cause’ preview!

Tonight there won’t be an episode of Person of Interest airing, instead we will have to wait until next Thursday for the episode ‘Root Cause’. Next weeks episode sees the return of Zoe (The Fixer) which I think is great as this show could do with more recurring characters and sh and Reese made a wonderful combination. Here is the press release… BAD LUCK MAY HAVE PUSHED REESE AND FINCH’S LATEST POI TOO FAR, ON “PERSON OF INTEREST,” THURSDAY, FEB. 2 Paige Turco (“Damages”) Returns as Zoe, the Fixer “Root Cause” – Reese and Finch’s latest POI is a down-on-his-luck man who...

Person of Interest ‘Legacy’ preview!

Person of Interest ‘Legacy’ preview!

Here is the promo trailer of the upcoming episode of Person of Interest set to air tomorrow. The episode marks a new course in the series, executives at CBS have wanted to give detective Carter a bigger role after her noticeable absence for most episodes and now Jonathan Nolan seems to agree. Here is the episode synopsis. When Carter finally comes face-to-face with Reese, he urges her to join forces to help with their latest POI, a scrappy young woman from the wrong side of the tracks who turned her life around and became a lawyer. And here are some promo...

Person of Interest – Super preview!

Person of Interest – Super preview!

Next Thursday Person of Interest will be back from its hiatus for the last bunch of episodes of its first season (though a full season of 22 episodes had been confirmed news on this is scarce). Frankly this series is easily the best stuff o tv right now and its still getting better. The next episode is called Super and refers to Reese and Finch’s next person of interest as he is a building super who takes a close interest in his tenants. Here is the promo trailer… And there are also promo stills…

Person of Interest – Number Crunch review!

Person of Interest – Number Crunch review!

‘Number Crunch’ is the tenth episode of Person of Interest to air, and if I didn’t know better I would say that this was a season finale as it ends on an almighty cliffhanger. Yet, I do know better. Season 1 is supposed to have 13 episodes even if it’s not clear when the other three episodes will air. One thing that I have stated many times before when reviewing Person of Interest episodes is that this show manages to reinvent itself time and time again and this episode is no different. As for the story… The episode starts with a traffic accident after which...

Person of Interest – Number Crunch preview!

Person of Interest – Number Crunch preview!

Next weeks episode of Person of Interest is entitled ‘Number Crunch’, it will again prominently feature detective Carter as she has to make a choice between arresting Reese or helping him. Here is the press release… REESE AND FINCH ARE BAFFLED WHEN THE MACHINE DELIVERS  MULTIPLE SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS, ON “PERSON OF INTEREST,” THURSDAY, DEC. 15 CHEAT TWEET:  The Machine multiplies the drama by spitting out not 1 but 4  numbers.   New #PersonOfInterest, 12/15 @9pm ET/PT  http://bit.ly/vsfycL “Number Crunch” – As Detective Carter deals with the  fallout from her recent encounter with Reese and Finch, The Machine ups the ante  for...

Person of Interest – Get Carter review!

Person of Interest – Get Carter review!

This ninth episode of Person of interest is entitled ‘Get Carter’ and refers as a pun to both the Michael Cain movie and the fact that all the villains in this story are gunning for Detective Carter (Taraji Henson). Person of Interest meanwhile seems to continue its run of good ratings and such is almost guaranteed to get a second season, the only gripe I have with the series is that the sci-fi elements have almost completely disappeared. After the pilot and the second episode we have seen no background information on ‘The Machine’ and it is in fact rarely mentioned. I know that...

Person of Interest – Get Carter preview!

Next Thursday Person of Interest will be back after a short hiatus. Before the hiatus the series arch criminal Elias was introduced. That left one loose string, namely detective Carter’s rather sidelined appearance on this show. Ever since the series premier we have had to see her show up at the crimes Reese solved hours after he has left. So far she is also under misguided opinion that his deeds are are not altruistic. This weeks episode is entitled ‘Get Carter’ and as plot device features detective Carter’s name showing up on Fich’s machine. Here is the full press relase… WHEN...

Person of Interest – Foe review!

Person of Interest – Foe review!

It’s been a short week since Foe was on the air and I haven’t managed to write a review about it yet. The episode was good but not great. the first half was perhaps better than most PoI episodes but the latter haf lingrered a bit with too much drama and some unlikely escapes for reese… As for the story… Reese and Finch track former Stasi agent Ulrich Kohl (Alan Dale) across New York City. Kohl believes that his former Stasi colleagues are responsible for his wife’s murder, and, having finally located them after twenty-four years, is in the process...
