The second episode of Revolution is entitled ‘Chained Heat’. It essentially continues were the pilot stopped with Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) and her uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke) heading back home. The mysterious device seen in the last scene of the pilot which can undo the electric dampening effect (at least locally) seems to make a return in the second episode. The storyline of Captain Tom Neville and Charlie’s brother Danny Matheson (Graham Rogers) serves as the b-plot as Neville tries to follow his orders and bring Danny to General Monroe (David Lyons). How Monroe hopes to get an edge on disabling the dampening effects with holding Danny hostage is a mystery. My best guess is that Rachel Matheson (Elizabeth Mitchell) isn’t dead as claimed by her husband but is instead the person that the woman Grace (Maria Howell) was chatting with. Below is a rather spoilery picture of Elizabeth Mitchell that certainly has fueled the flames on various bulletin boards.
Here is the press release…
