Next Thursday Person of Interest will be back with the episode ‘Booked Solid’. Now that season 2 has been in full swing for a while it is time to look back. Has Person of Interest managed to live up to expectations? For the most part that answer is YES but there are plenty of gripes to be had with its second season. For one it took a while for the shows mythology to be brought to center-stage. Instead the procedural aspects of the show was starting to affect its quality. Now that the mythology is indeed back in the forefront one can criticize the rather ad hoc nature of plot development. Not only has the hacker Root been missing for like the length of the bible but other villains have been killed off in quick succession (most notably: agent Donnelly, Kara Stanton and Mark Snow). Rumor has it that scheduling conflicts were part of the reason these characters were knocked off. As a fan of the show I can say I was not amused. Just when things got interesting we are back at square one. The revelation that Finch may have something to do with the laptop falling into Chinese hands which required Mr. Reese to travel with Kara Stanton to Ordos to retrieve it was a weak sweetener.
However, the show goes on. Let’s hope the creative staff can manage to find their way through these ‘setbacks’. ‘Booked Solid’ seems to be more of a procedural episode, but there have been gems with those in the past. By the looks of it our favorite sidekick Zoe (Paige Turco) will also return.

You still have HR. hersh/pennsalvanyia 2. Root. The guy from the episode where the doctor had to kill her paient to have her wife. And the kid from last week even
The episode were the woman was forced to kill her patient did indeed have an exciting villain in the form of a ex-mi6 mercenary. As for HR, Elias and the rich-billionaire from last week, they are OK but can’t really influence the mythology as I see it.
Right now that only leaves Root.
Here’s is hoping the show doesn’t lose track of it’s mythology too much.
