New Star Wars The Force Awakens Trailer Released!
Finally after months of hearing arguments about the merits of having crossbars on a lightsaber we as Star Wars fans are entertained by a new trailer. The second teaser trailer for Star Wars The Force Awakens reveals a great deal more than the first, but plenty of the principal cast have been left out. There is also only a hint about what the plot for the movie could be. The latter is something I prefer not to see until Star Wars 7 is put into general release on December 18th this year. The teaser makes it quite clear the movie is intended as the highlight of the Christmas season. For those who can’t stand me yammering on can watch the trailer in all its 1080p glory right below. I do advice watching it in full HD if you can!
I suppose a spoiler alert is warranted!
A few weeks ago after the news that a movie entitled Star Wars Rogue One was in the works I started to feel as though my love for the franchise was exploited. I felt unimpressed about the announcement and even became pessimistic about Star Wars The Force Awakens. Today’s trailer blew me away, visually the movie looks gorgeous. The CGI seems to work well and the premise seems intriguing even if only a whisper has been revealed. Casting relatively unknown actresses and actors such as Daisy Ridley and John Boyega feels like a master stroke. I think it allows the audience to readily associate with them. Of course no description of this trailer is complete without mentioning the return of Harrison Ford in the final scene. He looks fit and well placed. No word yet on any of the other confirmed cast such as Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher or Gwendoline Christie. Do I believe Mark is the person touching R2D2 who has his back turned to the camera. Gwendoline Christie may be the chrome covered Elite Storm Trooper.
Look below for screen caps I made of the most important scenes.
This was New Star Wars The Force Awakens Trailer Released! I hope you enjoyed the trailer as I have. Don’t forget to pick of Lord of The Sith if you want to tuck into some Sith mysticism.
