Harrison Ford Star Wars Episode 7 injury
Harrison Ford’s publicist has confirmed to BBC News that the injury the actor sustained on-set is more severe than initially reported. The 71 year old actor broke his left leg on the Pinewood set on June 12th and had to be airlifted to hospital. “His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly,” continued Ina Treciokas in a statement. “He’s doing well and looks forward to returning to work.”
The actor is of course reprising his role as Han Solo in the new Star Wars movie directed by J.J. Abrams. According to rumors the injury was sustained due to accident with a door or hatch on the set of the Millennium Falcon. It is not exactly known how long the actor will be out of the filming process but it will take at least 8 weeks for broken leg to heal. Meanwhile the shooting for Star Wars episode 7 progresses steadily. Much to the chagrin of its director quite a number of dessert set photos have already leaked. In my humble opinion J.J Abrams should learn to throw a bone or two to the fans. Star Trek fans are still angry over his denial that Khan would feature in Star Trek Into Darkness. Star Wars Episode 7 is scheduled for a December 2015 release.
In the meantime speculation continues about the plot of Star Wars Episode 7. Almost daily new theories are published and then dispelled quickly. I am certainly not keen on enveloping SciFiEmpire.net in that quagmire. For now the only confirmed news is that Gwendoline Christie, who plays Brienne of Tarth on Game Of thrones, has also joined the cast. We can assume it is only a small role, but it might be expanded in future movies. Christie had of course a sublime fourth season of GoT. I advice readers to check out the series of they haven’t already. What planet are you from?
