Season 2 of Continuum has been in production since January 25th. Principle filming is in Vancouver and as such is very public. The latest pictures taken by members of the public and various news sites shows filming on the steps of the Vancouver Public Library, famous from The Sixth Day and Fringe. The production staff have also set up a pod cast with behind the scenes interviews with actors and set workers (see link below).
As for season 2. It is tentatively scheduled for a April 25th release date and will span 13 episodes instead of 10. From the pictures and the podcasts it is clear that the terrorist group Liber8 will again feature prominently as the villains. Whether Travis Verta survived remains to be seen as Sonya supposedly shot him. Season 2 will be challenged with finding a worthy replacement for Tony Amendola (Kagame) as he left very big shoes to fill with his death in the season 1 finale.
Continuum is at the moment the only hard-core sci-fi series airing. With Revolution and Person of Interest using only a very light sci-fi touch. In April it will get competition as Defiance starts airing.
I expect that teaser trailers for season 2will air soon enough when post-production for the first episode wraps up.
