Star Wars The Last Jedi Teaser Trailer Released – A first look at the new Rey

The Last Jedi Teaser

Finally after weeks of speculation the first The Last Jedi Teaser was shown today at Star Wars Celebrations. Oooh boy what did it reveal. Rian Johnson’s adaption of what will be Episode 8 is scheduled for release on December 15 and slowly anticipation is heating up. Without further ado you can watch the teaser trailer below.

The Last Jedi teaser

So that was quite a teaser. It certainly appears to raise the stakes now that it appears that Luke Skywalker is fed up with the Jedi. However, that part can have different interpretations. The voice over of Yoda suggests we will learn quite a bit more about Jedi history. Meanwhile it is all hands on deck for the resistance. Footage show The First Order attacking resistance ships, Captain Phasma burning a building and Kylo Ren wielding a lightsaber (as well as sporting a scar). Sadly no shots of Snoke – so far the rumors of his wearing a court jester uniform are just that – rumors.

Does the teaser answer the big questions?

Will Luke have a larger part?

Yes. Luke appears to be training Rey, but with hesitation. The last line spoken is by Luke in which he suggest: “I only know one truth. It is time for the Jedi, to end”.

Will Rey find out the truth of her parents?

Sorry, that cannot be seen from just the teaser. But she does discover a lot more about the force. Rey’s line in the teaser suggests she finds the middle ground between the light and the dark side.

Now I am not going to remind you who stars in The Last Jedi. In fact it is: Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac and many more. In fact the cast will have plenty of additions such as Laura Dern and Benicio del Toro. Neither of the latter could be seen in the teaser, but that is partly to be expected. This was The Last Jedi Teaser. I hope you enjoyed this short article and do watch Star Wars Celebrations for more news.
