Elementary may have concluded, but that does not mean we cannot admire its fashion one last time. For seven seasons I have admired how Rebecca Hofherr and her supporting staff clothed Joan and Sherlock. Joan especially sported a trendy, urban but also daring style. While wearing miniskirt and high heels to a crime scene may not be too sensible it is stylish. Her style is more reminiscent of boardrooms, luxury dining and trendy Manhattan neighborhoods. As Elementary sported plenty of each her look was just perfect. Sherlock’s fashion changed over the course of 7 seasons. From sensible 30s something urban outfits to darker more brooding outfits. Here is the Fashion of Elementary Season 7.
In this article I will be showcasing what season 7 had to offer. Note that unlike previous fashion articles I will be covering strictly those of Joan. One thing to note about Joan’s fashion choices are vest suits. She wore several such outfits throughout season 7. Joan has always worn pant suit, since season 1, but this was a new development. It feels like a deliberate nod to the 19th century origin of the Sherlock Holmes story. At the same time it signals Joan’s continued branching away from Sherlock.
Famous brands
For season 7 many of the items Joan wears are from labels such as Karl Lagerfeld, Prada, Maje and Zara. If you want a detailed look or perhaps even purchase some of those items for you own just follow the links. WornOnTV, ShopYourTV and JoanFashionTumblr.
This was it for the fashion of Elementary season 7. I suppose this really is the end of an era. I have faithfully watched the series over the last 7 seasons seeing many actors besides Lucy Liu and Jonny Lee Miller giving wonderful performances. The other day I watched the 1995 movie Hackers starring Jonny Lee Miller and Angelina Jolie and I must say I am amazed how time flies. I am sure we will see Lucy Liu, Jonny Lee Miller, Aidan Quinn and Jon Michael Hill back in other productions. Until then, goodbye!
