These days the only thing the Syfy Channel is good for is a good bashing. After killing of Alphas, Eureka, Caprica, Farscape and Stargate Atlantis who can blame me. Now it appears that the people at Syfy believe the company should get back to it’s root. They have announced the production of 7 new series. It is not clear whether all seven would actually air on the Syfy Channel or that they are produced for other channels as UPC and several other cable channels seem involved.
After reading the impressive list below I can’t help but feel overwhelmed. Isn’t it a bit too much! We got Continuum and Defiance on Syfy and several other shows cooking on other networks and there is only so much attention fans can put into them. I already feel Lost (no pun intended). That said, there have been a number god awful shows lately that seemed vaguely inspired by Warehouse 13 in that they were underdeveloped and just dammed boring. Zero Hour and Alphas most notably. Some of the synopsis below read as though they can go either way! So there is still much work to be done!
