Person of Interest – Foe review!

It’s been a short week since Foe was on the air and I haven’t managed to write a review about it yet. The episode was good but not great. the first half was perhaps better than most PoI episodes but the latter haf lingrered a bit with too much drama and some unlikely escapes for reese…

As for the story…

Reese and Finch track former Stasi agent Ulrich Kohl (Alan Dale) across New York City. Kohl believes that his former Stasi colleagues are responsible for his wife’s murder, and, having finally located them after twenty-four years, is in the process of killing them off one by one. Confronting the final conspirator, Kohl learns that his wife staged her own death to escape him and to raise his child in a world free from his atrocities. Kohl finally locates his wife and admits that he understands the reasons behind her flight, before raising an unloaded weapon to her, forcing Reese to shoot him. Kohl’s predicatment leads to Reese reflecting on his own life as a spy, where it is revealed that “John Reese” is an alias bestowed upon him by another CIA agent.

Conclusion…

As I said the episode wasn’t great, the guest starring of Alan Dale was as expected spectacular. Alan Dale along with Michael Emerson of course both played in Lost as each others arch-nemesis and the duo make a fine reappearance in this episode. Unfortunately, this episode suffers from a plot that becomes convaluted in the second half and as such the writers seemed to have gone into a new directin by introduction more drama (too much drama for my taste). Reese makes a few unlikely moves and escapes which is contrary to previous episodes.

Score; 7.5 / 10.

Viewer rating; 11.65 million. This show seems to have  bullseye painted on it with these ratings.

The next episode of Person of Interest won’t air until december 8th, here is the press release..
