The first concept art of Vincenzo Natalie’s Neuromancer has been revealed on the site of the movies production company – GFM Films. It has been made by Amro Attia who has worked before with director Natalie. Now it seems that the movie is officially in pre-production, whether it will star Mark Wahlberg and Liam Neeson as reported last week remains to be seen, that will become clear once principal photography starts. I expect that to occur in the autumn. The budget for the movie has been estimated at around 60 million, which isn’t a lot but considering Cypher was made with just 7.5 million, but one can expect Vincenzo Natalie to really squeeze every penny.
Below is the concept art…
The above concept art sees the main protagonist Case walking through the cyberpunk world of Chiba City, it certainly concurs with most fans’ vision of what Neuromancer should look like, though the detailing seems a little sparse.
Of this second concept art I have no real opinion as I don’t know what it alludes to. It has been some time since I have read the book. This person could be Armitage or Peter Riviera.
