X-files Revival…

Courtesy of a revamped Blastr.com I bring you a very brief teaser trailer of the new X-Files miniseries. The trailer is only 40 seconds long with most of it consists of scenes from season 1 to set the tone. However, fans clamoring for some footage of how our favorite characters will look like when the series airs next years won’t be disappointed. Both Scully and Mulder are briefly seen at the very end when they enter a darkened room with handguns drawn. Scully seems to have changed little since the 2008 movie I Want To Believe, but Mulder has shaved his beard and dons his familiar suit.

There is also a voice-over during the teaser. Again most of it is taking from previous seasons, but during the scene of the revival series the following conversation between Scully and Mulder can be heard.

“I’m more certain than ever that the truth is in there,” Mulder says.

“I’ve heard the truth, Mulder. Now what I want are the answers,” Scully replies.”

Fox is making a big point out of the fact that as of yesterday, July 7th, there are only 201 days to go until the miniseries airs. In theory, if you want to you could watch an episode of the original X-Files everyday until January 24th. If you don’t include the two movies that is. FOX has not released the series on Blu-Ray, yet. If you want to see it on 1080p resolution you have to stream it from Netflix. I have so far seen seasons 1 and 2 and they are well worth it. Though I won’t watch the final three season as they are not as good. I hope to do a retro review of the X-files shortly. To me the remastered edition gives the entire show a fresh new vibe. No longer do character faces looked washed out. Instead everything seems more natural and the mood seems more intense as well.
