After weeks of speculation the rumors have been finally debunked, Star Trek 2 will get Khan Noonien Singh as its probable main antagonist. To many this comes as no surprise, as it is a smart choice for die hard trekkies and the villain has lots of appeal to non-regular Star Trek viewers. Khan is of course famous from Star Trek 2 The Wrath of Khan in which he manages to obtain the deadly weapon ‘Genesis’, As his first appearance in Star Trek was during the TOS episode Space Seed there is no mention of whether the deadly genesis device will return.
One twist in this tale is that actor Benicio Del Toro won’t play Khan. Apparently the deal went south only last week over payment. Now a different actor will have to be hurriedly found and that makes me nervous.
Anyone care to speculate as who can best play Khan?
