Yesterday Disney showed a multi-year line-up of movies as part of its ongoing merger with 21st Century Fox. There is plenty to see on the list as the studio owns Star Wars, the Marcel Cinematic universe, its own well-stocked lineup and Avatar. For the latter it has been announced that the first of FOUR sequels will be released in 2021 – with a 2 year release cadence. All this news gives me mixed feelings – which I intend to discuss below. Alita: Battle Angel is an adaptation of Yukito Kishiro original manga series Battle Angel Alita. Directed by Robert Rodriguez this movie has been in development for ages. I think I heard first mention of it back in 2001. Originally the movie was supposed to be directed by James Cameron as a prelude project to Avatar. Well, we all know how long that project has taken. Award-winning composer James Horner dies in plane crash

Composer James Horner dies Sad news has been announced on the internet. Composer James Horner has died in a plane crash in California at the age of 61. At first there was some doubt who had died. He did own the plane but it wasn’t sure if he was on board. The only available news was that the single occupant, the pilot, had died in the crash.
