Travis using his CMR - Continuum Second Wave

Continuum S2Ep10 ‘Second Wave’ Review!

Second Wave After this weeks 10th episode of Continuum’s second season there will only be 3 more left until the season ends. So far the season has been pretty much a roller-coaster ride when it comes to plot development and quality. Luckily this weeks episode seems to set the stage for the seasons inevitable conclusion and it does this well. Kiera (Rachel Nichols) manages to capture Garza (Luvia Petersen) with Alec’s new Arc program that pretty much sucks in all real-time data...

Continuum S2E9 ‘Seconds’ Review!

Mere seconds to boredom… For those who have kept up with reading Continuum episode reviews know that I think season 2 has been a let down. Sure some episodes were great but the series suffers with its poor drama and plot twists that are all over the map. This weeks episode entitled ‘Seconds’ is pretty much at the bottom of the pile. It starts on the wrong footing by pretending that the excellent episode 8 never occurred. No reference is made...

Continuum renew for shortened 4th season! Luvia Petersen nude as Jasmine Garza

Continuum season 2 episode 8 ‘Second Listen’ Review!

Second Listen… So far everyone has been a bit underwhelmed by the second season. Sure there have been a number of ups (Travis decapitating organized crime bosses) but for the most part the plots feel disjointed and ill though out. This weeks episode ‘Second Listen’ is by far a more steady episode and sets the beginning for the season to conclude in a spectacular fashion. Plot outline… Kiera’s suspicions, confirmed finally; there were time jumpers before she and Liber8 came to the...

Dillon's replacement - Continuum

Continuum S2Ep5 ‘Second Opinion’ Review!

Continuum is back from a two-week hiatus. The episode before the break (Second Skin) was probably the low point in the series so far. Alas this weeks episode entitled ‘Second Opinion’ is better but not very exciting. It feels a bit like a bottle show in that there few special effects or action scenes. However, this is made up by the drama which at least allows the character Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols) express repressed sentiments that gave her a bit of...

Continuum S2Ep3 ‘Second Thoughts’ Review!

Continuum S2Ep3 ‘Second Thoughts’ Review!

Last weeks episode of Continuum was hardly the shows best. The plot felt a bit too forced as the writers tried to push the characters into a new direction. Alec quitting his job to work for Kellog and Liber8 turning on each other are examples. However, against all odds this weeks episode of Continuum is able to capitalize on this new situation by seriously putting every character out of their comfort zone. I must warn anyone before viewing this episode,...

Continuum S2E2 ‘Split Second’ Review!

Continuum S2E2 ‘Split Second’ Review!

After viewing the second episode is this season of Continuum I have finally managed to find an episode that I honestly didn’t like. Just like season one’s weakest episode ‘Playtime’ this episode, entitled ‘Split Second’, is a bit out there… However, ‘Split Second’ is too convoluted and has too many arbitrary twists and turns to make it a really enjoyable showing. Split Second follows two storylines. The first is about Kiera and Carlos escorting Travis to a new prison after he killed...

Continuum Season 2 Premiere ‘Second Chances’ Review!

Continuum Season 2 Premiere ‘Second Chances’ Review!

Second Chances is the first episode of Continuum second season. Continuum is a sci-fi TV-series produced by Showcase, but Syfy channel will also air the episodes starting on June 7th. Continuum stars Rachel Nichols as from the future CPS Protector Kiera Cameron who has teamed up with detective Carlos Fonnegra (Victor Webster), a cop from the present. Together they fight the terrorist group Liber8 as it seeks to prevent a future ruled by corporations. The plot outline of ‘Second Chances… Following the...

Continuum season 2 starts on Showcase tonight!

Continuum season 2 starts on Showcase tonight!

Tonight on Showcase Continuum will be back for its second season with the episode ‘Second Chances’. For those who don’t subscribe to Showcase, Syfy will start airing it from June 7th onward. Syfy Channel for that matter seems to have adopted Continuum as a show of its own. Season 1 may be best considered a rough diamond whose edges need to be smoothed. As it has been a somewhat disappointing year for Science-fiction on TV I am excited with Continuum’s attempt at...

First Continuum Season 2 Trailer Online!

First Continuum Season 2 Trailer Online!

Well, the wait is almost over! Starting April 21st Continuum will be back for its second season on Showcase. Syfy viewers will have to wait until June though. For season 2 there is now an official teaser trailer featuring most of the principal cast. A central theme of the promo trailer seems to be how present actions can influence the far future. Season 1 sort of left this in the air with the young Alec Sadler (Erik Knudsen) stating that...

Continuum Season 2 starts April 21st!

Continuum Season 2 starts April 21st!

I can probably figure out what you’re thinking these days. With the return of Revolution and with other shows on air such as Elementary (Lucy Liu is just gorgeous), Person of Interest, The walking Dead, Supernatural and Nikita it is hard enough to keep up. Now you can add Continuum to that list as well, as it will be returning for its second season April 21st. Along with Game of Thrones (March 31st), Defiance (April 15th), The Borgias (April 14th) and Hannibal (April 4th). There...

Continuum season 2 in full production + release scheduled for April 25th!

Continuum season 2 in full production + release scheduled for April 25th!

Season 2 of Continuum has been in production since January 25th. Principle filming is in Vancouver and as such is very public. The latest pictures taken by members of the public and various news sites shows filming on the steps of the Vancouver Public Library, famous from The Sixth Day and Fringe. The production staff have also set up a pod cast with behind the scenes interviews with actors and set workers (see link below). As for season 2. It...

Continuum Season Finale Endtime Review!

Continuum Season Finale Endtime Review!

Endtime is the finale of the first season of Continuum. After ten episodes I can categorically say that I want more. Most TV-shows that are considered great have had worse quality first seasons than Continuum, Endtime is in fact the best TV hour since Game of Thrones season 2 episode ‘Blackwater’. I might add that though Continuum started out as a straightforward time-travel show this last episode of the first season is a real mind-fuck that not only sheds new light on earlier events...

Continuum Season 1 Finale ‘End Times’ Preview!

Next Sunday the last episode of the first season of Continuum will air on Showcase, the episode is entitled ‘End Times’. The story seems to deal with the possibility of altering history. We already know that the so-called grandfather paradox isn’t valid in the Continuum universe as Kellog’s grandmother was killed yet it didn’t influence his existence. Now, Kiera is going to try and prevent a terrorist attack from happening, and we are really going to find out whether an important event in...

Continuum Family Time Review!

Continuum Family Time Review!

Family Time is the ninth and second to last episode of continuum’s first season. Unlike previous episode it is set almost exclusively on Alec’s farm. The episode acts a jump-board to the season finale ‘Endtime’ of next week. As such it offers less action and more drama as multiple plot threads need to be advanced. The plot of Family Time… Carlos (Victor Webster) and Kiera (Rachel Nichols) have come to visit the farm of Ann Sadler and Roland Randol to investigate the purchase of 1500 kg...
