Person of Interest ‘Foe’ preview!

Person of Interest ‘Foe’ preview!

Foe is the 8th episode of Person of Interest. The show starring Jim Caviezel and Micheal Emerson is really starting to get into higher gear with the revelation of the main antagonist ‘Elias’ (played by Enrico Colantoni) in the previous episode. Here is an excerpt from the press release… “Foe” – When Reese and Finch discover that their latest POI has connections to  Cold War Soviet espionage circles, they quickly learn how covert ops were  handled in a world before The Machine, on PERSON OF INTEREST, Thursday, Nov. 17  (9:00 – 10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.  Alan Dale (“Lost”)...

Person of Interest “Witness” review!

Person of Interest “Witness” review!

This weeks episode finally sees the appearance of a major antagonist for this series. The bad guys name is ‘Elias’ and as was revealed in previous episodes is related to the old italian mob and is actively seeking revenge against the Russian mob who have control over some of the old italian territories. This episode thus actively progresses the mythology of Person of Interest and also brings detective Carter and Fusco much closer to Reese and Finch. No further background information on either Reese, Finch or ‘The Machine’ is given and since episode 2 it has been a little dry on that matter...

Person of Interest ‘The Fix’ Review!

Person of Interest ‘The Fix’ Review!

After watching the sixth episode of Person of Interest I was once again amazed at how different the setting and feeling of the story was from earlier episodes. This shows seems to be able to renew itself over and over again. There are a small number of downsides to this continuous change such as a mythology which as of yet has an unspecified direction, for the moment I am not too bothered about that. However that said, this episode, though spectacular, was perhaps the lesser of the five that went before it. As for the story… Reese takes the case of Zoe,...

Person of Interest ‘The Fix’ preview!

Person of Interest ‘The Fix’ preview!

I am sorry that I have been away from my website for a while, its been hell with my education. Luckily there was a two week period of non-activity for most series, tonight Person of Interest is the first back on TV and the synopsis seems promising. The last two episode of Person of Interest were very good though Cura Te Ipsum ended on an unresolved cliff-hanger that has been bugging me alot. As for ‘The Fix’… Reese takes the case of a professional fixer, a woman who uses her influence and her connections to powerful people to perform favours...

Person of Interest ‘Cura Te Ipsum’ review!

Person of Interest ‘Cura Te Ipsum’ review!

This weeks episode of Person of Interest is entitled ‘Cura Te Ipsum’, which is latin for ‘Cure your self’, which you will find out watching this episode has a double meaning. The episode is remarkedly different from the last one, suddenly characters like detective Fusco and Carter are back and are more important. The writing teams has managed to keep an unusual rough edge to the story ever since the pilot that really makes this tv-series stand apart, in part they push the backstory of Finch building ‘The Machine’ even further back for future episodes and focus on the here...

Person of Interest Mission Creep review!

Person of Interest Mission Creep review!

‘Mission Creep’ is the third episode of Person of Interest and is for that matter it’s first ‘social-security-number-of-the-week’ episode. Meaning that the writer’s did not want to advance the mythology any further but instead wanted to concentrate on making an episode with the things that are already in its universe. Usually these episodes make up the bulk of a tv-series and as such are of a little lower quality than the mythology episodes. That is certainly the case with this episode but the quality is only a little less than the previous episode and that makes me anxious for a...

Person of Interest episode 2 ‘Ghosts’ review!

Person of Interest episode 2 ‘Ghosts’ review!

The second episode of Person of Interest almost feels like a second pilot for the series. Not only is more background revealed but more questioned are asked, more rules are made (and broken) and the series defiantly declares that its off-beat and won’t use the machine that identifies crimes as a ‘deus ex machina’. The episode is tightly written, alot happens in the space of 45 minutes and so its going to be a long read to fully understand the plot and even then I would say I left out details for brevity…… Reese starts the episode by saving a man...

Person of Interest Pilot review!

Person of Interest Pilot review!

The background of Person of interest has already been into quite enough, its a new scifi-crime show produced by J.J Abrams for CBS starring Michael Emerson and James Caviezel. It is intended to offer a sort of CSI kind if popularity for science but in this case not DNA/fingerprint stuff but more surveillance and computer information. The science behind it won’t be explained too much but it does appear at least a effort was made not to be too outlandish. From an early stage of the episode I got the impression that an effort was made of preventing the predictive...

‘Person of interest’ debuts tonight!

‘Person of interest’ debuts tonight!

Tonight is the night, finally after Alphas we can view a another new scifi tv-show this year. However, just like Alphas Person of Interest is little light on the scifi part and more heavy on the thrill aspect. Person of interest stars Micheal Emerson as the billionaire Mr. Finch who has dveloped a computer program that can predict the identity of people that are going to be murdered. However he doesn’t get the complete picture of their identity and in order to trace them down and protect them he enlists the help of supposedly deceased CIA operative John Reese (played...

Person of interest preview!

Person of interest preview!

This fall CBS will start airing a new crime/drama with sci-fi elements called ‘Person of interest’. It will star Micheal Emerson as the billionaire Mr. Finch who has developed a computer program that can predict future crime à la ‘Minority report’. It will also star Jim Caviezel as former CIA agent ‘Reese’ who is presumed dead and helps Mr. Finch find the culprits of whatever crime that is set to happened. The pilot for this series was among the best recieved ever, so much so that the schedule for CSI has been rearranged to make place for ‘Person of interest’. Though the series will...
