Enterprise Season 4 Blu-Ray Review

As the series finale of Star Trek The Next Generation tells us ‘All good things come to an end’. And so has the last Star Trek series, after only 4 seasons it was cancelled in 2005. The show had a fantastic last 2 season but viewer fatigue and a lack of innovation meant it got cut short just when things started to get interesting. Star Trek had been steadily dropping in ratings since DS9 and Voyager which makes the course that...

Enterprise Season 4 Blu-ray Preview and Trailer!

As Star Trek TNG learned us, all good things come to and end. So did Enterprise, after only four seasons. We have had the good fortune of seeing the first two season on Blu-ray. Early January season 3 will also be released. Today, we finally got the trailer for season 4, which is expected to be released on April 1st if you can believe that. I liked Enterprise, despite the flaws it inherited from TNG and Voyager. Though the series finale...

Star Trek TNG & Enterprise Blu-ray release update

Star Trek TNG & Enterprise Blu-ray release update During the last year or so we have been spoiled with TNG and Enterprise Blu-ray releases. Finally being able to see them in HD has certainly altered their experience for fans. Enterprise officially already had a HD release in the iTunes store but in my opinion the experience is enhanced by viewing it on a proper HDTV. Now fans can look forward to Enterprise season 3 on Blu-ray which will be released January 7th. That is a...

Enterprise season 2 Blu-ray arrives August 20th!

Enterprise season 2 Blu-ray arrives August 20th!

Now that Star Trek Into Darkness has hit the cinema’s there is almost a Star Trek craze that I feel wasn’t there 4 years ago. That said, Star Trek Into Darkness has received some mixed reviews that seem to have repercussions for its box-office earnings. Generally there is a feeling that the plot is a bit bloated in some areas while the character development is minimal. None of that matters when Enterprise season 2 finally comes to Blu-ray on august...

Star Trek Enterprise Season 1 Blu-ray Review!

This is the review of Star Trek Enterprise season 1 Blu-ray that was released about a week ago. I expect the other seasons to be released every three or four months or so. That means the entire show of just four season will be available in about a year. The show’s Blu-ray return is perhaps not as highly anticipated as the TNG remastering but it is more established with fewer noticeable ‘bad’ episodes. This more formalistic approach does come at the cost of creativity....

Star Trek Enterprise Season 2 Blu-ray Cover!

Star Trek Enterprise Season 2 Blu-ray Cover!

It’s a bit of a slow news day. So all I got to offer is the Star Trek Enterprise Season 2 Blu-ray Cover. You can see it down below. As you may know the Blu-ray release for season one of Enterprise is just days away (26th of March) so Paramount Pictures thought it wise remember everyone that season 2 will also get a Blu-ray release. Followed by seasons 3 and 4 of course. Personally I think the box-art for season 1 was...

Star Trek Enterprise season 1 Blu-ray cover - Jolene Blalock as T'pol - Scott Bakula as Jonathan Archer

Enterprise season 1 Blu-ray trailers and cover!

The Blu-ray release of Enterprise’s first season is more highly anticipated than you might think considering the series got cancelled after four years. After the end of Star Trek DS9 in 1999 and Voyager in 2001 fans of Star Trek generally agreed that the franchise needed a rest. DS9 fans couldn’t imagine another epic storyline in their lifetime and Voyager fans agreed with critics that Star Trek should be more than special effects and Jeri Ryan’s boobs. However, the executive producers of what was to...

Why was Enterprise Canceled?

Why was Enterprise Canceled?

A few days ago Blastr.com hosted an interview with John Billingsley, who for years amused us with his character Dr Phlox on the last Star Trek show Enterprise. The show was sadly canceled after 4 seasons. In the interview the actor states that the bean counters killed of the show because they insisted on ever grander plots and action settings. He links this with viewers tuning out. Personally I agree with him on that issue, it was a problem that...
