Revolution Cancelled

Revolution S2Ep22 Series Finale Declaration of Independence Review

Eric Kripke’s Revolution has ended prematurely after two seasons. The show that was produced by Bad Robot Productions, J.J. Abrams and Jon Favreau drew criticism from the very first episode onwards. The series had a lot of promise with its innovative premise of trying to imagine what happens after all the electricity in the world fails. Sadly, the show also felt rushed. The first ten episodes saw Charlie (Tracy Spriridakos), Miles (Billy Burke) and Aaron (Zak Orth) go on a endless...

Revolution Cancelled

NBC Cancels Revolution after two seasons

During yesterdays review of the latest episode of Revolution I actively speculated that the show would be cancelled. Well, its has been. NBC is pulling the show of the air after just two seasons. In just a week’s time another Bad Robot Productions show is being cancelled. Some bloggers have started to catch on to the fact that many of J.J Abrams produced shows go prematurely to the dodo. Just like Alcatraz and Almost Human Revolution felt underdeveloped from the start. The...

Revolution S2Ep20 Tomorrowland Review

It has been a while since I last posted a review of Revolution. The show has seen a remarkable improvement in quality during its second season. However, a 22 episode season is also far too long. The second half of season 2 saw the storyline slowing down and becoming repetitive. Only now that we are moving towards the season finale is it moving forward again. Season 2 also suffered from the lack of intriguing villain. Somehow, despite the mean cruelty of the...

Revolution - Mis Dos Padre - Joaquim De Almeida as the Cartel leader

Revolution S2Ep11 ‘Mis Dos Padres’ Review!

This weeks episode continues where the last one left off, Miles and Rachel are going to attempt to rescue Monroe after he has been captured by a drug cartel in Mexico. That is kind-off all you need to know. There are three more storylines, those of the Neville’s, Aaron/Ex-wife and Charlie/Gene that never really get off the ground properly. I guess we will have to wait for those to get interesting some other time. In this episode, the Monroe/Miles/Rachel storyline...

Revolution - Miles, Rachel and Charlie planning to free Aaron

Revolution S2Ep8 ‘Come Blow Your Horn’ Review!

I am sorry that I didn’t review last weeks episode of Revolution, but all you need to know is that Monroe lived through his death sentence. Almost immediately the series switched gears and showed more of how the US government, or Patriots, work behind the scene. The patriots are season two’s latest antagonists and I guess we will have to forgive the show creators of not explaining just they became to powerful so quickly. I mean, where are the remnant...

Monroe (David Lyons) and Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) finally make it to Willoughby - Revolution

Revolution S2Ep5 ‘One Riot, One Ranger’ Review!

Revolution seems to be on a winning streak as of late. I personally had my doubts whether the ‘patriots’ would be any good as antagonists but so far season 2 has not disappointed. This weeks episode ‘One Riot, One Ranger’ is very effective in increasing both the scope of the Revolution’s universe as well as in furthering the character storylines. Just as in previous weeks I will deal with each group of characters separately. Though when I say group it is down...

Revolution - Monroe & Charlie riding to Willoughby

Revolution S2Ep4 ‘Patriot Games’ review!

After a good start to its second season Revolution takes a break with an episode that doesn’t really move the story forward much but instead sets the stage for further development. The good thing about ‘Patriot Games’ is that we get answers to a number of vital questions at the cost of a story that at times just doesn’t want to move forward. Just like past episodes of season 2 I will briefly recap the developments of each storyline. Charlie &...

Tracy Spiridakos as Charlie Matheson - Revolution

Revolution S2Ep3 ‘Love Story’ Review

With this weeks episode, ‘Love Story’, Revolution continues to improve in quality. The show keeps handing out some hard punches but at the cost of a very fast past that sadly causes us to lose a character that was only recently introduced. As explained in the review of the previous episode Revolution has now been divided into three main storylines. I will briefly explain the events of all three. Rachel, Miles and Aaron; this is still the ‘main’ storyline. Last week Aaron got resurrected...

Giancarlo Esposito in Revolution season 2 as Tom Neville

Revolution S2Ep2 ‘There Will Be Blood’ Review

Revolution is one of those shows that everyone at times seems to love to hate. Season 1 for that matter got a lot of flak. Despite being a Bad Robot productions series it hardly lived up to the quality of other shows such as Lost, Fringe and Person of Interest. Instead it came closer to Alcatraz in that it wasn’t bad but it felt rushed. Revolution certainly does feel rushed, or at least its first season did. I myself wasn’t a Charlie hater...

Revolution season 2 banner - Elizabeth Mitchell, Billy Burke, Tracy Spiridakos and Giancarlo Esposito

Revolution season 2 trailer from Comic-Con!

The Comic-Con bliss continues with NBC releasing a lengthy preview trailer of Revolution’s second season. The trailer starts as so many before it with a brief recap of events of the first season. Then it shows the rather disheartening moments after Randall Flynn launches the ICBM’s at Philadelphia and Atlanta. It would seem that Aaron’s attempt at switching off the electricity to shut down the missiles will be in vain. That much has already been revealed by other sources. The trailer...

Tracy Spiridakos as Charlie in Revolution

Revolution season 1 finale ‘The Dark Tower’ Review!

The finale. And so the first season of Revolution has ended. To many it should be it’s only season but we will be getting another one at the end of the year. I have not yet decided whether Revolution deserves a reprieve as it is very rough and certainly not all diamond underneath. The season finale ‘The Dark Tower’ tries its best to make up for all the mistake and give viewers a reason to tune back in this fall and for...

Elizabeth Mitchell as Rachel Matheson talking to Monroe - Revolution

Revolution S1 episode 18 ‘Children of Men’ Review!

Revolution has been a in a dark place for some episodes now. At first the second half of season 1 saw some good improvements but quickly episodes started stalling and make impossible leaps in character development. The low point was when Monroe’s right hand man Jeremy Baker (Mark Pellegrino) was killed off. Last weeks episode was a bit of an improvement but it still forced Charlie and Miles in particular to fly in a helicopter they had stolen in order to...

Revolution renewed for second season – NO JOKE!

Revolution renewed for second season – NO JOKE!

Yes, its true… NBC has officially renewed their supposed ‘flagship’ for another season. Personally this gives me mixed feelings. Revolution is an OK show and I certainly don’t want to see any sci-fi series get cancelled. However, there are plenty of things wrong with Revolution that would make we doubt anyone is really interested in a second season. I can almost imagine the show being wrapped up confidently after just one season. The opposite of ‘Lost’ if you get my drift....

Revolution ‘The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia’ Review!

Revolution ‘The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia’ Review!

As there is much to see on TV these days I will just write a mini review of Revolutions latest episode. As the title may spoiler the episode finally takes us to the  Georgia Federation were President Foster (Leslie Hope) holds the scepter. Rachel and Aaron meanwhile make their way to the Rocky Mountains but stop by an old acquaintance who reveals more secrets about the nanites. The plot outline for ‘The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia’… Paranoia strikes Monroe deeply...
