Star Trek Typhon Pact returns in 2012.

After four novels and one ebook set in the cross-franchise universe we will get two more novels in 2012.

The Typhon Pact is of course the series that contains the main cast from TNG, DS9 and Voyager. Each of these series has continued into the expanded universe in one form or the other and in many ways the Typhon Pact series was an effort to bring some order and continuity to the expanded universe.

Now, the series will continue with two novels written by David R. George. Who is sadly also the author of the third wretched book in the Typhon Pact series (Rough Beasts of Empire). The following details are known from Amazon.com

Star Trek: The Typhon Pact: Plagues of Night. Release date 29th of May 2012.

Star Trek: The Typhon Pact: Raise the Dawn. Release date 26th of June 2012.

It would appear the author continues his style of meaninglessly dramatic titles.

On his facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/#!/DRGIII) are several hints and discussion related to the annouccement… SPOILER ALERT BIG-TIME….

——————————————————————————————-

• may include NEXT GENERATION characters
• may include DEEP SPACE NINE characters
• may include VOYAGER characters
• may include Cardassians
• may include the Gamma Quadrant
• may include the Delta Quadrant

…the Federation must deal with the aftermaths of both David Mack’s DESTINY trilogy and Dayton Ward’s PATHS OF DISHARMONY, and that perhaps circumstances will push them to consider actions that they might not otherwise have taken.

——————————————————————————————-

Strangely several discussions on his facebook page are about the third book mentioned before, and he seems to agree with some viewpoints… well there is hope yet.

At this moment no cover art is available. Hopefully we can expect them soon.

Also don’t forget that in june 2012 the last book in the Starfleet Academy youth series is to be released. It is entitled ‘The Assassination Game’ and I am looking forward to it despite the mixed quality of the first three books (see reviews in Literature section).
