Thanks to the boys from Collider.com we now have the full length trailer for Ridley Scott’s upcoming flick Prometheus. the trailer is apparently a bit spoilerisch so everybody who can wait until June 8th should try to do so.

The trailer seems to emphasize action and Charlize Theron, a combination that rarely loses from what I heard.

And here is the movie poster for those who haven’t yet turned it into a wallpaper.

On June 1st Ridley Scott’s Prometheus should hit the cinema but until then we can expect to be teased with plenty of pictures and artwork. Which is what I am showing here below. Thanks to the guys of www.heyuguys.co.uk I can delight you with these pictures. Go to the website to also few moving stills.

Here is also a synopsis of the movie.

Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

Star Trek The Next Generation Blu-ray

After the spectacular sample disc in January we have all been waiting for the news on when the first season of TNG would be released. Finally we have gotten the date, it’s the 23rd of July. Which is still some time away unfortunately but at least it’s coming. Expect the second season to be released during the 4th quarter.

Alas there is one big problem, and that is the price tag. The retail price in the Uk is 50.99 which roughly translates to 80 dollars. That’s quite a whole in my wallet.

Expect a review of season 1 shortly after the release, until then stay tuned.

Dr Blake Eureka

Yes, its true, Eureka is back a little earlier in the year than normal for its fifth and last season. Sadly the trend towards wrestling ghost shows at the Syfy channel continues.

As for the first episode of season 5, its entitled Lost and information is so far hard to find, which doesn’t bode well for the ratings (And Syfy channel wonders why).

However, courtesy of SciFiStorm.org I have managed to get a small synopsis.

As Eureka’s thrilling fifth and last season kicks off, the town is reeling after the Astraeus and her crew mysteriously vanished just before their planned launch to Titan. When they finally crash-land, Allison and the crew members are shocked to find themselves back in Eureka – and that they’ve been missing for four years. As the town copes with the shocking personal changes that have happened during their long absence, Sheriff Carter and Henry try to uncover the truth about the forces behind the crew’s bizarre disappearance – with deadly results.

Strangely the synopsis doesn’t square with season 4′s finale when Dr Blake managed to launch herself to Titan by accident, I guess we will learn more about all that on monday.

Here is a small preview clip of season 5.

Well, I guess most of you have heard of the fan series Phase 2 created by James Cawley and Jack Marshall. CBS tolerates this fan production as long as they don;t try to earn a profit, the series was started in 2004 and is managing to release one episode per year (though they hope to accelerate this).

Here is the episode streamed or you by YouTube.

For many fans the title may sound familiar, that’s because there was a similar episode during TNG season 1. Gene Roddenberry reused scripts from the ill-fated Phase 2 and reworked them, this version of The Child is as the writer has originally envisioned it.

After watching the above episode I must say that I think this series is starting to get the hang of it, only the first few scenes are a bit less, perhaps taking a few more shots will make the cast loosen up a bit.
